Did a search on the web (it is very easy you know)

The Huson is made of poly vinyl and wighs only 1.2Kg.

The Saturn is made of Polyester / Nylon and weighs 1.8kg

So my guess is the Saturn is made of a better material and is more substantial (as it is heavier)

What's strange is that the hudson costs more then the synergy on Play.com
i bought the Hudson from Play.com
What is it you need to know ...

Is it worth the money?

Would it be able to fit textbooks and folders, together with a 15.4 laptop?

let me see if i can find a way to describe/ maybe photos. brb

i tested my 17" (diagonal length, closed) mac lappie and it just about covers it, your 15.4" should have no prob. i would however be using a neuroprene for mine, as i often do anyway ... the zip has a soft runner lining that protects the innards to some effect. it also has a black trailer velcro for you (to secure your laptop) over the top of the laptop flap.

in terms of BOOKS ... the biggest section of the bag has a sewn-in collapsible bottom flap that bulks the bottom out. that flap measures 12" x 8" with a curved edge, you can safely place about 6 dvd box sets (each box set has 6 dvds). pix 4 shows the flap.

How does it all bulk up?

POCKETS (continued). This 'hidden' pocket is in between the main books section (middle of bag) and the laptop section (at the back of bag).

BACK OF BAG to show carrying. This looks soft and comfy enough, i havent tested in real life if it is heavy (probably for girly me, if it was filled up but i really only need it for the lappie and a few notebooks) but seems adequate for the uni journey.
Wow thanks alot for the info and pics. Much appreciated
you're welcome.
Ive got one of the Hudson backbacks. I noticed that in the promo pic 3 that you posted, it shows a mesh zip compartment on the inside of the front flap. In pic 4 it doesn't have this, and neither does my one. I did wonder if my bag was missing this mesh pocket, but after seeing your pic 4 , it seems they are all missing this.

Anyway, the Hudson bag is a great buy, its gone up to £39.99 now on Play.com (used to be £14.99!) so I recommend you buy it from misco or CCLcomputers if you decide on the Hudson.
oh yeah you're right! re: mesh pocket ... as i said havent had time to use it yet, just bought it last week!
hey all, thinking of getting one of these, but wondering if i should get the hudson or the maxxum? Is the maxxum worth the £13 more?
