Morning all !

Weve booked to take our son (8) and daughter (7) to Butlins at Skegness for 4 nights we have never been before not going overseas this year as im pregnant so going to have a couple of little breaks like this one,
Was just wondering has any of you been and is it very good is there much outside of the place and do you have any tips for me ive booked breakfast and dinner included, hopefully the meals are ok so we wont be spending a fortune on overpriced food, any advice on day trips or places to see will be appreciated thanks :)

My partner Julie comes from the Lincoln area and is always telling what what great times she had at Skeggy... great for kids but may be a bit limited these days for adults... for four days you should have no problems!

We are going to Butlins Skegness on monday - can not wait - we go every year sometimes twice. It is excellent for kids, free swimming - indoor and outdoor, free funfair, free kids clubs, sports activities for kids and activities/shows all day in the skyline pavillion. Evening entertainment for all ages is great also. There is an excellent outdoor market at fantasy island and fun fair (which you have to pay for). The beach is nice and can be accessed from the 'backgate' at butlins - this leads straight to it.

Skegness town is quite good too and has several supermarkets, if extra bits are needed, and has the amusement arcades, natureland seal sanctuary, funfair, kids fun palace and usual seaside activities.

I can not comment on other activites to do as we tend to just chill out!

Hope this helps and have a great time - I know we will!
