Rumors of Rodwell are rife too - has the unpopular appointment of Irvine actually been a master stroke with the link for ex-Everton players becoming apparent?

Fellaini next anyone?

not a bad signing. he chips in where it counts and looking at how dire the england defe is at the moment they may resort to calling him back in when he is getting regular game time lol

He's a good shout - was surprised because of his Wo1ve5 link, but I'd overlook that so long as he performs.

Nope. That said Albion fans are more fickle than ever these days so a couple fo decent signings and we'll hail Irvine as being the next SIr ALex before we've even kicked a ball...

Relegation beckons and we'll be bottom by xmas.

Burton seems to rate him, and I've not heard a bad word against Burton from anyone - maybe Irvine has literally just been brought in for his coaching skills, and the management been left elsewhere.

I believe the blame likes firmly with Peace - he is devaluing the club so that he can up his control to 75% cheaply.

I'm just sick of doing things on the cheap. Personally I don't think Sherwood would have good for us but then I find it hard to believe that Irvine was the next best option.

It does seem that the set up we have in place isn't the traditional 'manager' role - he's not likely to identify many of his own transfer targets.

And just to top it all off... eff'in pinstripes!

I'm not buying a top this year unless we have brought back the Yellow and Green stripes!

Better still - Bobby Goulds' Yellow and Red kit!

yeah it wasn't the best. I liked the Black one a few seasons ago - was quite smart.

Any ideas on sponsors next season? Can't say I've heard anything on that.

Great signing for the Baggies, although he's a left-footer like Olsson - will be interesting to see how they set up (I can't think over many teams who play two left-sided centre backs.

Gardner is a good signing for them too, but they're in desperate need of some full-backs with Ridgewell, Reid and Jones all gone.

Don't mix them up.

I hope so, gives us a fighting chance. :)
