You will be fine with western union as long as you actually make sure you get the money.

WEstern union is often used to scam people out of products or money. But with your situation you should be fine imho

I would never pay for anything this way, but I WOULD accept payment this way. You just get paid in cash once its wired.

Hey, my aunt swahila did die. Luckily she left lots of money, but to avoid tax it needs to go into a UK account. Now, what are you banking details?! Thankyou please

All the scams involve you paying them by western union (its non refundable) or you sending out items when they have "paid you with western union" fake emails.

No right im trying to do this without airing my wares in public lool here goes

She owes me the money for something i sent her, it was arranged to be paid by a certain time which she has tried to do throught the bank and ive seen the proof (I know this person by the way, and i trust her) she has already sent me money for the item and is trying to pay the final balance (i still have part of the item and the bit she has is usless without my bit if that makes sense) now ive been waiting for the money for 5 weeks now due to the banks ineptness at transferring money- so just now she sent me a message telling me that she could send me the money via wmt and could do it on sat! just to save any more wrangling with the bank

hope this makes it clearer and thanks for all the help so far!!

No us either as ive said shes already sent some via the bank, and i do feel sorry for her as shes been charged twice now and the money still isnt here

If she sends it by western union you just cash that somewhere dont you? Just dont send the "product" until you have cashed it.

(Dodgiest sounding thread of the year so far by the way FMR. (Is this "product" legal?))

for international bank transfers you both need need your IBAN CODES or you cannot do it

international bank account numbers

The purpose of the IBAN is to make it possible to identify an account held at a bank anywhere in Europe to enable the easier flow of monies between the member countries. To comply with EU regulations we are required to have an IBAN number for all payments made to EU countries.

The format of the number will vary from country to country, but it will always include your account number.
