Which charity shops take these? I've lots of them and that would be a good way to clear them out.

i would expect any charity shop would be grateful for them :) i guess its up o you to choose which one you think is most deserving :-D

Any charity shop.... I give to SavetheChildren and they make between £2-£3 / SIM. :)

Giving the sims to a charity shop is a great idea, ive got about 70 now, think i will give mine to them, they dont make much anyway, thanks for the idea guys :)

Most charitiy shops would probably bin them , not relising their worth or not knowing what to do with them IME.

Your local mobile phone shop will probably buy them for £1-2 each.

You can then donate THAT to any charity that you choose.

I sold 95 o2's for £100.00

Ring around.

I'll move the most of this thread into the Miscellaneous forum, where others can read. It's a very good idea with all the SIM cards going about and to donate them to charity. I'm sure there are many who've collected them over time. Isn't there a problem that some will have expired now though?

Thanks :)

Ray :- Few SIMs may come with incentives that expire on certain date. The SIM can still be used :)

Rizla :- Selling or donating is a personal choice :) I'm donating SIMs since joining HUKD and reguarly get feedback from the shop. Charity shops will be quite happy to accept as these are 'always wanted' items.

a great idea, never really thought about it, giving un - needed freebies to charity :) can i make a note of something i previously suggested on a thread - donated old/unwanted duvets/bedding to pet rescue centres, after all homeless doggies wont care if they a little worn ect but they will help to keep them warm :)
