Wild boar up in some tower in germany...

weirdest food would be... a rice burger at McDonalds in Kuala Lumpur...

along with lots of random rice foods like puddings (not rice puddings!)

I refused to eat in the restaurant where you had to pick your fish (Penang Island)

It does taste different when you are tired. ;-)

I had a nibble at a frog's leg but couldn't really taste anything because of thinking 'how horrid'.

sushi, or hammerhead shark

pig brains, boiled. when i was a kid, didnt know what it was, didn't think much of it until i found out aged 11! urgh!

there was even a distant aunt who used to have blood boiled (not sure which animal) and it used to be in a container that you shook it like a soft cake ... eek!

I also made a fool of myself in Bosnia(Croatia) in a Yank camp in Zagreb, saw they had lobster on the menu (beats british army food) so had it with chips. Nobody else had it though and I was up there with an officer who dined seperatley. I tried cutting it with knife and fork and looked a fool. Gave up in the end and just had my chips. Still never tried lobster.

Kangaroo *****! oops sorry - thought you said erotic!!:w00t:

I've sampled snails, shark, quail eggs & squirrel.

My mum used to be into funny foods - she'd eat raw bacon, sausage, mince beef & tripe.

And edam cheese & podded peas!:x

BG1 if you are feeling flush next time you are in london... go to "dans le noir"

pick the meat menu and you are waited on by blind people and you sit in pitch black... you dont know how many other people there are with you, where your glass is, cuttlery ect... AND YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE YOU!

amazing experience plus "opens your eyes" to the fact that someone may be blind but does not mean they are incapable of anything... we were bumping into everything but the waiters were flawless. we were at their mercy(guidance).

I say flush cause the place is expensive but worth it!
#38
OOh you lot, pig brains is called braun and used to be sold in Waitrose and Morrisons until the legislation about BSE came in.........Lobster, scallops and oysters are all normal fare in my parents home as we eat all shellfish. My clubbin mad son has a real thing for jellied eels after a skinfull !!!!
I personally don't like frogs, the area in France I stayed in as a kid ate the lot.
Horse is still served in some med restaurants as "meatsteaks", its ok.
Seen cats ready for the pot in Thailand, who knows if i've tried it.
#39
Black Gerbil .....don't bother, Mum used to keep Quail.......try making an omlette takes loads!!!!!
