WHAT ARE YOUR OPINIONS ON THE BRITISH OLYMPIC CEREMONY AT THE END OF BEIJING?

Hi,
I have heard a lot of people critisize the british opening ceremony for the 2012 games at the end of beijing, saying boris johnson was shabby and didn't know how to unfurl a flag. Also, they said that is was messy and disorganised and a waste of 2 million quid. What are your views on this?
thanks

If that cost £2M - then it was pretty sad!

My MIL thought it was awful..... couldn't work out why they chose that some and artists used. I thought it was ok. Didnt like the thought of Beckham being used, but fully understand why (especially in China).

an absolute waste of money Leona Lewis was **** the guitarist was the only good thing about it and even that sounded poor because they didnt have the sound levels right , wood rather see the money being pumped into the hospitals giving back something to the people of Great Britain also think its a disgrace the Olympians come back to a great reception but yet our troops dont

I'm sure these things always cost ludicrous amounts but that custom-made bus must have set us back a pretty penny. Anyway cost aside on the grounds that London had to do something I thought that thtechoreography was neat, the ideas like the umbrellas were good, the rock angle was upbeat and the whole shabang had a fresh, friendly feel. Beckham - well why not? Leona Lewis was dreadful - perhaps she's scared of heights. All in all and putting Boris to one side, I thought it was good and I hope that 2012 has the same zing to it.

They should have had Riverdance on, that always seems to work.

Hmm. An "exploding" bus. That's the way to promote London eh?
