Is this going off download speed you can gather from speednet? If so, at home I get around 220mbps download. 13mbps upload.

On Virgin. Get 105Mb pay for 100Mb. First time I've ever got more than I've paid for. Oh and that's with a powerline adapter to upstairs which gets me the same speed as downstairs directly connected to the router.

Edited By: tommy6000009 on Jan 22, 2017 17:57: Addition.

15mbps / 1mbps Sky Unlimited

Good enough for 1pc, 1 tablet & 2 mobiles working at the same time & all included in line rental cost.

well what ever I get It doesn't stay for long with talk talk everyday it keeps going off says intermittent problem or sometimes says this connection isn't secure google may have been overtaken. I useless people at talk talk go through me to go test the router line etc. etc. any one know if I use a old sky router or a vm router if the problem maybe fixed as I suspect it'd the router that's keep getting nackered. is it easy to use a different router or not I have a few sky routers and few netscape I think off vm from the past.

Get a filtered faceplate for te master socket. It isolates your phone extensions through the house. Meaning you don't need filters.
It also has a tendency to prevent signal loss by the extensions.

Big upside is you an tell tech support your filtered internal line is fine. So they can go diddle themselves and get your line fixed.

When I had poor speeds @ SKY it transpired that there was a fault with my connection @ the exchange. (was pulling hair out with all the tests)
Wifi is always an issue though getting the right channel can help. (though always ISP's router)

With Sky broadband here, get 21mb down and 1.1mb up, too close to the exchange for fibre apparantly.
