Nice idea, I don't intent on throwing them at the wall this time :D.

But what do you do with them? just eat them on their own? Do you have anything with them?

Haven't had sardines but Pilchards in tomato sauce are nice with a creamy cottage cheese/ Philadelphia cheese, a Jacket potato and salad

tesco value meatballs 38p job done. If you're feeling wealthy add a pack of value chicken noodles to that, they are only 10p...they used to be 9!

+1 just what I was going to say - takes me back to my childhood as that's what my dad used to make a lot. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole mind you! :o)

Sardines and Pilchards are the same

same fish but different size

At 15cm they are still sardines, but by the time they have grown to 16cm they are officially pilchards

lol maybe, maybe not, but if the sardines are in tomato sauce they are probs quite high in sugar. The value meatballs arent that unhealthy and taste quite nice lol
