~I have got brown leather sofas, with oatmeal walls and my accessories are brown and pistachio green x

brown leather soft furniture, plum wall, brown carpet, plum curtains, magnolia walls, white ceiling, mahogany wood windows, doors, skirting and furniture.

Hubby is in interior design, he plays with the colour scheme all the time... the plum/brown colouring is one of the best we've had.

black ceiling, pink walls and orange carpet.

ive got brown leather sofa with light oatmealish/creamy wallpaper laminate floor and natural wood accessories with sand pictures on the walls

Ours is black/white/chrome BUT a bit bored with it and also need some ideas for a change but (and no disrespect to anyone who has this) definitely dont want to go down the chocolate sofa, cream walls/carpet route! Really dont know what to do.

We have a lime green sofa, a deep purple carpet and we have white walls with big square colour blocks painted onto them :)

I've got black leather sofa's, with stone coloured walls, the feature wall is a darker shade. Soft furnishings are black/silver. I've also got flooring rather than carpet .

Top Tip - Wooden flooring, Amtico,Karndean all compliment dark brown or black sofa's & are very easy to maintain.
Top Tip - light background works better against dark sofa's and keeps the room looking bright as too much dark will have a dreary effect & make room appear smaller .

Another Top Tip - For Free colour matches of paint samples - log on to the Crown Website . You can choose up to x5 shades at any one time , with free P& P . The samples are large shade cards & they are a very good match to the actual paint, without the mess or cost of buying small sample pots

White ceiling. Minimalist.

We have Old Gold walls (looks yellowish), terracotta carpets and curtains and Gold sofas.

Looks lovely and warm, especially at Christmas time.

Ive just redecorated so we now have melon sorbet walls with a feature wall which is potters wheel. Looks scrummy with brown leather sofas, hessian coloured curtains and our carpet in neutral - go for a carpet which looks bitty (kind of like hessian) as it hides allsorts with the kids stuff!

and a deep red on the end walls to bring them in, as our lounge is a long one (27x13 foot)

(ignore the clock that was put there whilst redoing the red walls, and the tri-cat had hijacked our fruit bowl!)

nowt wrong with that is there? Its by that Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen nancy so its hardly surprising!I think the red balances the femininity out anyway, looking for a nice black leather sofa now though.

We have Caramel coloured walls with a Dark chocolate covered chimney breast.. We have laminate flooring because the kids I have in would trash the place otherwise - being a childminder.

We have lots of tasteful art over lots of cupboards too - thanks to the kids ;-)

well, you kinda need a light on and sunglasses at the same time.

Some good ideas now thanks, just wish I was brave enough to go for the plum!
Wish the budget would stretch to laminate, but it was working out a lot more cash and work than new carpet. Just need to find the perfect bargain sofa now!
