Should i get the Mac mini with wireless keyboard and trackpad to connect to my tv or the MacBook? The MacBook is £100 more with uni discounts. Is it worthnthe extra cost?

Thanks

personally, unless you study or work in the media industry then your wasting your time with a mac computer. if your really fussed on looks then you should go for either or, if not then get yourself a better spec comuter :D. the question is are you going to take a laptop out of your house if you got one as it would be better spending on a desktop that would sit in one place. you can connect both to a tv depending on connections on both.

defo the macbook :) the macbook you can take to uni :) move around whereas the mac mini is limited to uses.

i also thought about this swapping my macbook for a macmini glad i didnt.

I'd go for the laptop as £100 is money well spent as it will be a far more versatile machine. The only time I'd opt for a desktop machine over a laptop is for performance.

I don't go to uni, I'll be using my bros discount. I don't know much about computers so performance don't really matter. Will only be used for browsing and facebook really. Maybe abit of college work. I have an ipad that I take out with me so don't know If I would need the MacBook aswel! Toughy lol. Thanks guys

Will only be used for browsing and facebook really. iPad can do that lol its expensive enough, you would hope it could do it well, but I'm not a windows lover or anything by any means but in this case you don't need a mac in any way, just a standard desktop nothing too flashy or again a standard laptop/netbook could do the job just fine

This ^^^

Do yourself a favour and get a netbook as OS X, as good as it is, just isn't worth it for Facebook and word processing, I have one (an old one at that) to use music production software.

Thanks :) I just prefer the way macs work. Windows just isn't for me anymore. I'm thinking maybe the mac mini

There is the old saying, once you go mac you won't go back :{ If I were you I'd probably go mac mini if you don't need portability and it's £100 less, win win!

Personally i would go for the macbook for portability....but they are both fantastic machines so it's a win either way.....
