don't know why people go so mad for them like this, 50% off is only a small saving on pre xmas price anyway taking into account the 3 for 2 offer.

Well its a good saving if you aren't planning on buying multiple items - and even then it can still work out cheaper than before the sale. However after about 2 weeks it gets reduced to 75% and then after another 2-3 weeks it gets reduced to 90% but by then most items would have been sold

yes, the 75% and 90% aren't bad, but the 50% isn't
Say 3 things are a tenner, before xmas you would have paid £20 for them, so £6.66 each, now £5

But boots bump the prices up on the 3 for 2 items anyway and the 50% off prices are only slightly cheaper (if at all) than what you can pick most the stuff up for in other shops anyway.

I'm not saying people buying a couple of items aren't saving but last year I saw people with trolley fulls instore

Thanks for the replies everyone, I shall be hitting the Boots sale tomorrow.

I agree that 50% off isn't great but I generally only get perfume sets and the decent ones sell out pretty quickly.
