4 A*, 5 A.

GCSEs are easy. 'A' levels and degree level are where you actually have to start revising :)

GCSEs dont put you in good stead for A levels as stated about you ought to revise every day for A levels. I am now doing a HNC and its pretty similar...

I could done a lot better and got more of them but thats another story.

Child Dev - A
Eng Lit - B
Eng Lang - C
French - D
Maths - F

My parents signed me out of the Science,Art and History exam so I didn't have to do.

5 GCSE's was enough to get on a Btec National Dipolma in Childcare course for college but due to money circumstances in particular,my parents couldn't afford it for me to go so I quit after a term.
The qualification is worth nothing anyway,no better experience than having a child yourself.

DAM... I'm still waiting for someone to say they got 10 C's. But looks like everyone here is clever.

yeh but you still need them to work you way up,but I was more reffering to child care qualifications, the gcse 1 is worth nothing and neither was the college course if I'd completed it,it be no better a wage to go a job with a job role wanting u qualified to a certain amount cos the pay i know is better than shelf stacking.
I'd like a shelf stacking job anyway, nice and simple and can't go wrong.
but yeh the whole point is to work u way up if thats what u gonna do,so best start early i guess.

Yes there is quite a bit :) But it is very interesting. I recommend you tell all your children to do it, even if not top set.

I think I got 5A*, 4As, 1B and a Distinction (worth 2A* and 2As)
though it should have been 9A* due to the double Science (Straight A* for modules, average A* for main exams, but a poor coursework because the teacher just gave us one hour to do it and didnt tell us that was it, saying afterwards that it wont affect the marks that much when we realised - just missed it by 2 marks :( anger.) and Double english (must say, I didn't think that they can teach - more like dripfeed then exam techniques rather than mastery). Oh well, learnt to accept that everything ain't perfect. (if only coursework never existed - I swear its a part where cheating is allowed and I would have got the 9A*:()

But GCSEs are nothing compared to A-levels. Though they do count when you wanna go to university. Im sorely disappointed that I got rejected from a uni that I wanted to go to that is possibly because of it but I got over it too :D

P.S. I did not go to a private school. I went to some **** state one where theres loads of bullying and gang culture. I regret that too... but like every thing in life, i got over it.

I didn't revise for my GCSE's during the 2-3 week study period in fact I was off BMXing and riding stupid distances to get my mind off my GCSE's cycled 50 miles to London then back again twice. I didn't wash for a month then when I finished my exams I shaved all my hair off, and my French teacher confessed she fancied me. I moved schools half way through my GCSE's went from Romeo and Juliet to Midsummer nights Dream, and was bullied throughout my remaining years at secondary school kinda put me off my exams. That school now has CCTV cameras I'll add.

and oh I got,
C and a D in English (took it twice),
D in maths,
C and C in science,
D in history,
E in Physical education (teacher hated me god knows why),
C in graphics,
E in French (would have been an F if hadn't been for reason above)

Ah man even though im 19 this year its seems an age since my gcses - lets see umm 2005 sep i got my results

I got

1 B --Business
7 C'S - English - german - french - r.e - geog -maths - biology
1 D - history
1 E - latin

Im most proud of my german grade as they basically said theres no point you taking the exam as im rubbish to take the lower exam but i though no i can do it - in the higher test i was 4 marks away from a B :D
Not bad for not revising at all just playign pro evo 4 all day and night during my study leave

but then that process didnt work for my as levels where i got 1 d and 3 U's oh well
Thats why ive had **** jobs

Now i gotta sleep stop making me read hukd
