Hi miles, I haven't seen you around for ages.

Christmas just needs family, and the dog. Last year we weren't home, didn't have a tree or decorations etc.

I can't stand Christmas food - turkey, gammon, trifle, Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, Brussels sprouts etc so that's not important to me. I love mince pies with brandy butter and clementine cakes.

Clementines always mean Christmas time, just the smell of them makes me think of Christmas!

Awww, he just looks cuddly to me :)

I'm still thinking about the topic of the OP. I think mine are similar to yours, RSI and flamedeers has become a feature, certainly couldn't do without my cat. Always seem to be planning some kind of baking... not sure what else really.

OMG Miles what does your butler do for Christmas?

When you travel along the thoroughfare do you wave at people with one hand gently swaying from side to side?

Can't do without....Brussel sprouts, Fresh chestnuts, Copious amounts of mulled wine, C**p Xmas tunes......oh and of course family :)

What I can do without....Brussel Farts, Visiting the in-laws, Cracker Jokes, Realising you've left the wrapping to the last minute and being still sat there on Xmas Eve wrapping, Washing up after Christmas Dinner, Paying 5x the going rate at the corner shop for cranberry sauce/gravy etc when I realise I've forgotten it, The Queens speech and being woken up by the kids at the crack of sparrows!! oO

Rest, absolutely and undoubtedly some form of rest. If I'm not resting I am getting round as many people as possible and watching them enjoy their presents until I get home.

Mmm sprouts and chestnuts are my fave... This is the first Christmas day I've had off work in 5 years so I intend to eat a lovely dinner me and my missus are cooking together, it's also our first Christmas as homeowners so the families are dropping in to us theoughout the day. The plan is then to do pressies, take the dogs for a lovely long walk then collapse in front of the tv. Doing it properly!!

Have a lovely day Miles! Xx

I agree on the sprouts and chestnuts, when mixed with stuffing though you're likely to blow someone away!

Party games! We stay at the table for hours after the meal drinking, nibbling cheese and crackers and chocolates playing silly games. Favourite with my elderly mother is Humbug, where you hum tunes. She's tone deaf and its hilarious :)
