Tea..Dinner is what posh people call Lunch

I always say Lunch for a cold mid day meal and dinner it its hot. I have tea in the evening.

'dinner' meal was eaten in the middle of the day, followed by an evening snack of leftovers, often called "tea" by upper-class families

from Wikipedia

woohooo...I must be upper class
#28
I'm working class :w00t: tea it is :giggle:

Nothing better than a cup of PG tips with your evening meal

We have lunch mid day.
And cooked Dinner in the evening.

Unless it's Saturday, or Sunday.
Then we have Dinner at Lunch time. And Tea (sandwitches, fruit and cake) at Dinner time (sixish)

When you guys go "out" to eat in the evenings...(even in Yorkshire) do you say you're going out for tea?
#40
nope i say you fancy going out for something to eat? or you fancy going out for a meal tomorrow evening♠
