Ok my friend has got a new boyfriend and has told me the conversation they had a couple of nights ago where he said its not classed as cheating if he does something with a girl when he is too drunk to remember!

He didn't tell her what the something was but she thinks it means close dancing or kissing rather than more if you know what I mean

I think this is absolute rubbish and have told her so, you never get so drunk that you are not in control and its just an excuse in my book but he has convinced her otherwise

She is very trusting and naive and I would like your opinions - male and female so I can show her later

in my opinion its still cheating if my wife said that to me i'd be livid!
#2
Yeah I would have to agree. Def still cheating. Wonder if that would work on my wife:-D
#3
He needs setting some boundries-so he thinks if he is drunk his behaviour is excuseable?

She is mad if she accepts that! he is setting his terms of the relationship for her clearly so that WHEN he does it he can tell her he told her so!!!

Bin him now is my advice...if he is like this now she is just gonna have nothing but trouble later....and didnt it insult her when he said that? didnt she feel small? sorry but this is sad...

Oooh, Don't think I have tried that yet :whistling:

certainly is cheating have heard some say before a kiss is not cheating but in my eyes it is. she is better getting shut of him now while the relationship is new and save herself from getting hurt in the future. your friend needs to realise she deserves a fella that would treat her right and never do the dirty on her not one that makes up excuses so if he has a little too much to drink he has a cover up story for her.

Men, can't live with them..... Can't shoot them in the face and bury them under the patio... life's tough!!

lol

Sheesh, if my fella said that to me, I'd dump his a**... you hear that honey? lol

NO WAY would I stand for that, it's cheating. Full Stop. It just gives him as excuse to do as he likes. My guess if she said the same to him, he would make pretty sure she wouldn't be going out drinking.

Some men are complete b*****ds. She needs to get shot of that waste of space NOW.

agree with chipsticks, hunny please do take notice of us i know its easier said than done but you are worth a 100 of him.unfortuately one of my old mates fell out with me years ago coz her boyfriend tried it on with me and i told her and she decided to believe him (what an idiot) and 3 months later she came crawling back when she found out he had go another girl pregnant so my advice is just dont do it hunny if he had any respect for you he would not of said what he did. get shut put it down to experience and move on i know its not easy when you have feelings for someone but believe me it will be easier for you in the long run. just get together with your mates and have some great girlie nights out you will soon forget him.

someone either very stupid and immaure-or someone thinks he's clever...if he sees she is maybe lacking confidence-or has fallen for him-and thinks he can have a little exta fun:whistling:
#21
Because he cannot control how much he drinks
( maybe this is the bigger problem here?!?? )
It's ok because he cannot remember???
NO WAY.........
If this was a "one off" then MAYBE another chance, if not
get rid quickly..................
NB The above is just my opinion no liability accepted :whistling:

Absolutely ^^

You do not need a man who has so little respect for you that he sets himself up with a permission slip to cheat.

That kind of relationship is doomed to fail, trust us when we tell you that, there is a lot of life experience on these boards.

Get rid of him now, before he starts setting up more ground rules for the relationship... like you're not allowed friends... you wear what he tells you... do as he says... trust, me that's where it could head....

Good luck.. hope things work out for you, and remember, you always have girly mates on hand to pick you up when you need it!!

i think you have probably hit a raw nerve here darlin cos most of us have probably been cheated on at some point and know how much it hurts ;-)

Male here.

That's total bull - Cheating is cheating, whether you mean it (afterwards) or not. Cheating in my books goes from flirting/touching (like bum slapping) beyond the point of having a laugh, and from kissing onwards is "Get the hell out of my house"-material.

She should lay down the law straight away and let him know that if he goes beyond a joke, regardless of sobriety, he's out the door.

Just my opinion, but my girlfriend shares my views strongly - We're both very loyal to one another and are well aware of what isn't acceptable to one another.

And every reply says it's cheating. If your friend doesn't get the message after reading this, she's a lost cause I'm afraid!

It is still classed as cheating if you do anything in my book - but I've gone out several times (mainly in my youth !!), and not remembered a thing the next day......

here here......

that excuse is like using the area code excuse (errrr it was a different area code so it doesnt count)

a rule that is only valid under the following 2 conditions.

1 - You're American

B - You're 12
