On my street it is pretty tight for parking, so I was just wondering what you think of the following event just happened right outside my window.
Vehicle number 1 is reversing into the last remaining space on the street, while at the same time vehicle number 2 is waiting to leave the street, thus making this space large enough for TWO vehicles. Number one waits for number 2 to leave then parks her vehicle smack bang in the middle - presumably to be right outside her own house - but leaving no room for anyone else! There are numerous complaints on the street about lack of parking space and she does this!!! Opinions please - including 'Get a life' if you want.

Can relate to this. Same on my street. Just selfish really, but dont let it worry me. One neighbour has about 6 cars and a new family moved in a few doors down and they have 4 cars. The trouble is if you say anything they will probaably key youre car!

we have the same problem also have people who have their own driveway but choose to use the 4 parking spaces for 8 houses each having more than 1 car. its got so bad here that the police have been called many times, as it stands now its each to your own, park with consideration but as long as its parked legally theres not much can be done.

its like this where i live, its a nightmare. the way people park and dont think of others, i was parking the other night and a car turned down the street as i was pulling in, she thought i was pulling over to let her past but when i switched off the engine she gave me a right dirty look and waved her hands about, i wouldnt mind but there was room behind me and i wasnt even parked outside her house. i got a ticket the other day as i had parked in the side street and the ticket was for unesscessary obstuction which is a joke as its not obstucting anything and not double yellows. i hate it where i live and cant wait to move next month lol

I used to live somewhere with similar parking and my next door neighbours (a couple with no kids) frequently took up 2 spaces just so they were parked directly outside their door. I just used to knock on their door and asked them to move their car forwards so I could park and get my baby, toddler and shopping out the car as the only other space was about 30 doors down. They always huffed and puffed but did it. Stupid thing was, their car was still outside their house, by their living room window, just not directly opposite their front door. Idiots :w00t:

That's something else that p*sses me off -'man up' ha ha.
As it happens I DO say plenty, if I see some selfish git taking up space like this I knock on their door, whatever time of day/night..........they move;-)
Maybe I should get a life though instead of messing about on here:whistling:

I have to pay £106 to park in my street so now I park how I want, plus all other taxes etc, even people that buy a ticket, park all wrong, over the lines etc

I am good at Parking albeit I prefer reversing, Well it took me 5 mins too get out of a space the other day as parking is free after 8pm x Maybe shes saving it for some one, get to know her and you can do Vice versa, all those shooping bags can be heavy after all on HUJD X

What else do you expect from a female driver. I'm surprised that she got into the space in the first place

lol this kind of thing make me laugh we have neighbours like that! we have a drive and 2 cars the neighbour gets mad when my hubby parks his car outside our house, cause she cant fit hers in, we told her if thats all you are worrying about you must have a good life! What a stupid thing to fight over

when we moved house one of the main things we looked for was easy parking, after living in a town centre with permit parking NEVER again!

Me too.

You want to see the people across the road, they have a double garage with a double driveway and they still have 4 cars on the road!
#22
it all depends on if she was driving a ferrari. if the anwser is yes than she is by law allowed to park where she wants and however she wants to park. hope that helps
#23
we have a driveway, one car goes in it, the other 2 sit on the road
#24
Does anyone park in their garage anymore? (Thats if you have one of course.)

I know a few people who have this issue... People feel its their right to park outside there own house, which in fact its not... its a public highway and you can park where you want..

My mate moans about it all the time, but my reply is always..... told you so....

I could not think of anything worst than coming home from work and then having to look for a parking space! -- OR even having to pay for onstreet parking on a street i lived in....
