Just received this email from parcel 2 go which states that for £20 + vat you can order items from America as though you are resident and they will provide you an American address and then forward items over to you. Is it a good deal

Just tried it with something that costs me $12.95 shipping direct from the US, and Parcel2go want £34.40 on top of the £19.99 annual fee for shipping it over :w00t:

Would this be good for ordering PC Parts via NewEgg, or would I be subject to 15 million different Taxes?

Now check how much they charge to send the item over here.

* Shipping charges£212.85
* Fuel surcharge£25.54
* Total£238.40

so you pay a one-off fee of £20+vat, and then you buy everything from the states using free shipping (to the USA address), and it gets forwarded to your UK address for free?

Sounds too good to be true!

Is it purely for getting things from companies that don't ship outside the US or is it to avoid import tax on large items?
