sex and hot curry!

Do you have one of the big exercise balls? My midwife told me that they were a great way to help with getting baby into position.

Good luck, last few weeks can be awful, its worth it in the end though. :)
#3
awww babe, not your first baby then?

Baby may not even "engage" till during labour!
#4
swimming, the water will help support you and the bump, only if you have been exercising previously through your pregnancy though

or a spot of pilates

not having sex with hot curry, that would be wrong.

Get busy, not to put a too finer point on it but a fellas "stuff" has small amounts of the same stuff used when inducing.

yeah have tht big ball... everytime i sit on it i tend to lose my balance.... or my lil one will just push it... but is tht good exercise? will be on it then.

not my 1st but totally diff experience with this one.

its not good to exercise in pregnancy unless you have exercised before and your body is used to it and definately not at this late stage. The birthing ball is a good technique to help bring babies head down and also walking is very good. Regardless of how many tips people give you about having sex (although this is probably most likely to work), curry and pineapple baby will not come unless ready. I would just relax and wait...and get plenty of rest because once baby is here you wont be able to.

due in 3 days acctually, im the mother... the father is just relaxing...

+1. It worked for me after i had tried hot currys, walks, swimming, warm baths & nothing!! I got to the stage where i would have tried anything & 6 hours later my beautiful daughter was born.

My second was over four weeks late, and labour only started after I went for a very long walk for hours, cant say I recommend it, cos I was knackered before the labour even started. I would stick with using the ball thing cos that will help when you are in labour and after that just let nature take its course.

lol I was told by my midwife to rub "that stuff" on my stomach as would help prevent any stretchmarks:w00t:

btw I dont have any stretchmarks:giggle:

My mum made me have a go on a see-saw at the park with my first.........worked like a dream, went into labour that night :)

I've got them, from my first, a little one inch patch, right side of my stomach, not really noticeable. My boobs however, well..............only time I had a rack was when I was pregnant with my second, always been pretty flat chested, didn't enjoy having boobs as it happens, jeepers what a draught up my shirt, didn't like not being able to see my feet either, lol

Got back to normal quite quickly, just left with bolt style nipples and stretch marks. Too much information? Well, I thought I'd share, what better place than an internet shopping forum:w00t::p

so you obviously didnt use that "moisturiser" recommended by the midwife:giggle:

sex but the most important is exercise after the baby

so many women go to pot after and just seem to balloon

get on all fours and rock to try and get the baby engaged ...

for labour

pineapple
raspberry leaf tea

with my 1st i went in to labour... she was 4 hours 20 mins

my second my waters were dripping so she gave me a sweep as i wasnt having contractions ... that labour was 2 hours

i was out the next morning with both .. i have th 1st at 12.20 am and my boy at 3.10 am.

i am well please of my self i had a natural birth with the 2nd as his head was 36 cm ......i am only small lol

I had 2 midwives, one was really lovely, the other COW wasn't, never seen her all through my pregnancy, unfortunately got her when I was in labour, she was awful, I had homebirths with both of mine, my second child, said COW brought a student along for the experience, giant gas canisters too, did she let me use them? Did she feck!!! I was lying in pain, 'get up and walk' I was told!!!

Seriously hated her, pleased I gave birth so quick, meant I got her out of my house quicker, the COW!!!!

Did I mention the fact she was a COW?:p

And NO moisturiser was never mentioned

lol.... the midwife brought in a student and said to me....

Do you mind if the student examines you internally?

YES I F........LIPPIN MIND!!!!!!!
#35
starsparkle2311
The labour was so quick the student missed it,lool, think of Hattie Jaques, my midwife looked like her and acted like her, the COW

wow, that'd have been scary lol

I had a fast one too, my second one was born in all of 90 minutes... I swear I was literally straight out on the car gettin there I couldnt bend :w00t:

starsparkle2311
LMAO, the only reason mine took 3 hours is cos I lay down, I thought I'd take it easy and enjoy it, she soon put a stop to that!!! The COW:p

You still keep in touch then?
#37
starsparkle2311
Yes, regularly, I have her picture on the dartboard, bullseye every time:thumbsup:

lol, if only you could get a pic with her in childbirth position!
#38
starsparkle2311
I don't think she has kids, the COW:p

That'll be the darts lol

I think its awful when you have bad midwives as it really ruins the whole experience...

with my 1st i kept saying i needed to push but they kept saying not to as i wasnt 3 cm dilated.... however when they checked her head was there with my waters hanging out....

it was awful as they hadnt monitored the heart beat once so whisked a incubator in drs, head midwife (was about 8 other people in the room) and told me to just push with or with out contractions.....

Really did scare me,i was young , lived miles away from my mum and was just told to stop crying and get on with it :(

My 2nd birth was fab x
