Have you thought of joining the National Trust? We do a couple of places a month which more than pays for the membership and have so far done most of the places in Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and Wales. They have some great activities for kids throughout the year and we find most of them have great play areas as well so the kids come home happy and tired

Aw where about are you? I thought everyone had lovely weather today - we did which is really unusual as we're in Edinburgh!

Didn't take advantage of it though as had to go get the kids new shoes - never a happy shopping trip is that

Dismantled bunk bed (not the usual type, this one has a double futon sofa bed on the bottom); stripped beds, 2 loads of washing, painted 3/4s of a room, breakfast, lunch and dinner for 3, moved double futon mattress (bl**dy heavy!), repatriated some bits of bunk bed to other bedroom and removed a curtain pole. I ache in places it's not natural to ache!! :-S
