Why do you rarely get your complete order? and why is it always things like cans of coke that go missing? is it just the delivery driver being hungry and thirsty

Yeah I constantly see things like cans of coke going missng, typical, and often portions of chips etc.

One time I ordered a kebab deal, kebab, chips can and garlic bread for £5

All I got was the kebab, no garlic bread chips or can, phoned take away driver came back with the garlic bread but "couldnt find" the chips and the can.

MMM pakoras used to see them everywhere in scotish takeaways but havent seen them anywhere in the north of England shame as I used to like my munchy box, chips, donner or chicken kebab meat, salad, mixed pakora and a can for £5.50 mmm

Saying that I did seem to get a portion of salad and a tub of garlic sauce I never ordered lol shame the cheese naan was a plain naan.

Being a pizza delivery driver myself i can say most orders get mixed up when we are busy and theres little or no time allowed to check the order, everyone like thier take-away hot.

i allways end up having the same convo over the phone
and a diet coke please
coke?
no diet coke
pepsi?
no diet coke
ok

and more often than not i end up with a coke, not that i really care but i do find it rather amusing

if you do have items missing, dont pay for it and if it repeats a 2nd time, dont use them again.

I'm a delivery driver too - and whilst we seldom have anything missing (because I check it myself before I leave tbh) - I have noticed that certain customers have this tendency to complain a fair bit regardless.

In some cases they get their kids to call the order in - and I reckon they make a hash of it and things don't get ordered but it's always OUR fault for some reason :)

It's not in our interest not to send out everything you ask for - we'll only have to come back when you complain anyway - but if you want to make sure, work out what you want BEFORE you ring and don't just babble into the phone assuming the person on the other end understands your dulcet tones/dodgy accent - or that your ****** cordless phone is phasing in and out or your mobile is crackling etc. etc. :)

and whatever you do - don't ring up and then start asking people what they want - or I'll hunt you down and torture you ok? :)

When we use a Indian takeaway we always get more than we can eat, and while I am waiting for it they give us a free brandy.

Sometimes I have to refuse as I am driving.
