i bought two items from the same seller and asked if they did combined postage, which they didn't.this wasnt a problem as i assumed the seller must be going to package seperately as they were breakables.however when they arrived they had been packed together in the same box and cost less than half what i'd been charged.when i emailed seller he went right through me calling me names and being really nasty.now im fuming, dont care about the postage just think something should be done about him being so rude.is he allowed to get away with this?i could have just left negative feedback but i wanted to give him a chance to resolve the problem, now im scared to do anything as this guy has my email address.
what should i do?

I would just put in feedback that no discount was given for multiple purchases.

Report him to eBay and neg him, simple.

Forward all your correspondence from him to them.

Either that or just forget about it and get on with it.

2 choices really.

Well that is bang out of order, if you were charged for 2 parcels that is what you should of got, and the seller left himself wide open to an INR on one if you were just as dishonest (not saying you are).
Neg, 1 for every star, leaving none does not count. Report any abuse to ebay and direct emails to the ISP, it's all hot air, don't worry x

Postal charges can be ridiculous on eBay. I've seen people in the past trying to get £15 to send a mobile phone 1st class recorded.

Personally i think that if you wanted combined postage you should ask before buying. It is commom practice to increase the postage topay less fees. You should take that into account before bidding.

Fair enough but to refuse to do combined postage discount & then post out together is offside

If he was to post them seperately you would have still paid the same amount, just cos he packaged them in 1 box doesnt cost you anymore.

i understand the op's frustartion but these things should be cleared up before buying - too late afterwards

Yes fair enough but I think the op annoyance is at the abusive emails rather than the postage costs tho

I agree, that is uncalled for, gut sounds like a right ****, just ignore it - its only words! No use getting stressed over something this simple. Too many people stress over nothing these days - everyone just chill :-D

yeah as i said doesn't bother me about the postage just the way the guy spoke to me.
i wouldn't allow anyone to speak to me like that in real life :x
just don't want anyone else to be subjected to it :-D
#14
i thought all postage costs were now to be included in the price on eBay?

neg him and say he was abusive and unpleasant.

but expect him to respond to the neg comment- he will undoubtedly deny it and try to get it removed, but you'll have done what you wanna do x x

dont be scared of abusive email as if the seller does make threats or is just plain nasty, they open themselves up to a world of trouble.
report him/her , and a big fat double neg .. that will show them not to be so rude
#17
He cannot neg you back so just let him have the neg for being a ***** and a tight git.

Mate ordered 2 tv brackets from an ebay seller and the ebay seller did the exact same thing.
Ebay sided with the seller after raising an issue with them.
#19
neg him.

Did you pay a lot for the items? It is common practice on Ebay to sell the actual item fairly cheap & then charge quite a lot for postage, as fees are charged on the selling price rather, than the total including P&P.

Maybe seller was making the profit on the p&p rather than the actual item?

It's not right that he was rude though...

Send him a cat turd in a box. No? Just me then
