what is it that you most look forward to at this time of year?

is it the wild drunken parties and christmas spirit?

Is it that moment of silence on christmas eve when the rest of the world is fast asleep?

Is it the thought of all those lovely jubbly presents you're bound to receive?

Or is it the excitement and joy in a loved ones eyes that you most enjoy seeing?

11 days off work using only 3 days of annual leave:whistling:

I am a big kid and love opening pressies. Also my birthday on the 12th day of Christmas so i get even more pressies.

And i love sampling every method of cooking/preparing potatoes from roasties to croquets.

i love making decorations with the children. I think glitter forms part of my cell structure at this part of the yr, my cleavage collects it!

I love how excited the kids get, i love the magic of their beliefs and i love knowing its all done and its all set up and ready for them to enjoy when they wake xxxx

omg rep to you as I thought I was the only person like that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am such a clean freak and everything has a place - so when the decorations and the tree are all out the place looks such a mess to me:w00t: I cant stand it lol. Last year I took them all down on Boxing day lol...............before my son even got out his bed!!!!!!!

I love this time of the year as our social life is non stop and also it includes taking my son too. We have got three panto's to go to plus loads of parties (some my son wont be coming too!) and also looking forward to spending time relaxing when off work.

January 02nd When Its All Over .... Gone Are The Days Of Selection Boxes And Some Crayons, Felt Tips And Some Board Games... No, Kids Now Want iPods And PSP/Wii/Xbox And Laptops!! The Cost per child these days must have quadrupled with less presents per child due to the high cost of the modern tech christmas gifts & O No ur carnt just buy ur child the one present..."Gulp"...I dont want to be scrooge but when people have 3 or 4 kids or more and they are asking for PSPs / Laptops etc January can't come fast enough...Too B"@***Y expensive I Say.

i have 4 children too. My eldest works and lives with me so his disposable income of well over 1500 a month means he wont get much from me. He is old enough to buy his own. My youngest is four. His big brother spoils him immensely. He bought him some tshirts and had them imported from america this week . . I dunno how much he spent but the charges at the door were 18 quid!

My elder daughter doesnt like the responsibility of owning things so she never wants many pressies all she has is a new digi camera for her art work and my younger daughter is so easy to buy stuff for she's been wanting a dsi since they came out in april and she broke the top screen on her ds when we were on holiday in augusts so she has the much wanted dsi :-)

it aint over till after 12th night :-)

I used to love the magical feeling of christmas eve around midnight when my kids were little.
All the pressies laid out, stockings filled (from santa of course):-D Anticipating their little faces when they get up in the morning. Hubby and I having a relaxing drink, opening some of our presents. Looking out to see all the windows lit up with christmas lights on for santa coming. A couple of times it was snowing and that made everything just perfect. Will treasure those memories forever:)
We`re not looking forward to christmas this year. Some of you know why, will probably be a few tears but we`ll do the best we can. Hope everyone here has a great time.:)

It'll be extra special for you babe xxxxx
