Travelling down and seeing muse at wembley with my best friend, i'm only 21 and haven't had children or been married yet so in my short existence that was the best day of my life, i know i shared it with like 70,000 other people but it was just magical :)

Several come to mind but in this order

1 Meeting my future wife at school
2 Getting married
3 Having two beautiful daughters
4 Walking my first daughter down the aisle
5 Watching my second daughter leave home and start a new job and knowing that all the hard work of bringing both of my girls up had worked as they are happy and in love as i am still after 24 years.:)

receiving this text from my eldest son last year when he moved out,

"standing here on my balcony, I can honestly say I'm so happy to be where I am, I've got nearly everything in life I ever wanted right now and more, I just wanted to thank you, I love you mum x"

made up for all the years of tantrums, tears and heartache and made me realise I had done a good job after all :)

Having my two very precious children.
Every morning when my eldest shouts love you mum as she makes off for school and
Every morning when my little lad climbs into bed with me telling me He loves me so much, bigger than the universe!
Meeting my Oh who will be my husband in 6 Months.

Went for 4 helicopters, got 5 helicopters, and nothing went wrong.

Probably means something will go horribly wrong on the next trip though.

I know how you feel bitsey it was and still is very hard to say goodbye but the pride we have as parents knowing that you have done a great job is compensation of the highest level. It sounds like you are a great parent.:)

Day 24 of my first fast in Thailand 6 years ago. I had been fasting for 24 days. Some days were better than others, but on this day, I decided to go in to the sea... I went in to the sea for a dip, lay on my back, and I was transported out of this world and had my little life rocked! The first time that you are aware of God, and that he makes himself known to you, is more amazing than anything that can be seen or done. It is difficult to explain it to people who have never experienced it, or who have no belief...For woman, giving birth and holding their new born baby might bring this home to them, possibly the same for a father when he watches his child being born and then holding them. I don't have kids so I can't compare... I fasted to seek the truth and I was shown it. For me, that has made being born worthwhile...I was in the sea for 3 hrs, drifting, floating, half in this world, half outside of it. When I slowly came back and started to move and open my eyes, I was surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of little fish! They all started flapping and jumping as I started to move. The sea was alive with all the fish swimming and flapping at the same time, it was like a jacuzzi, a whirpool. They were jumping up against me, hitting off my body, as I swam to get back to shore. I couldn't stop laughing, tears of joy streaming down my face. Totally and utterly out of this world! :-D

yanno, i dont believe in god, and i scoff at the whole idea of it, but I'm always a tad jealous of those that do believe and take comfort from their belief.

I must admit i do agree with you on that and i sometimes look at Vicars faces and the general look of peace and tranquility has me wondering of they know something i don't!
