i live in north wales and its about the same here. I cant believe that we are allowing the government to get away with this. The farmers went on strike at a much cheaper price per litre. They had the morale high ground because of their non aggressive stance and won the hearts of the public because they stood up for us all. Brynlie Williams was a national hero. Now he is a Wet lettuce of a welsh MP.
Is there anyone out there who is going to stand up for the general members of the public in this country who are taxed to the hilt on everything. The deductions from my last payslip where over £2000, thats in one month! What do I see for it? Nothing much. Why cant I have a say in how its spent. I would happily pay for emergency services, schools etc. But I am beggared if I want my money to be given to the scroungers on the dole who are too lazy to work. A number of people with disabilities work as they have their pride. I would prefer MY money to go towards building bigger prisons to keep the scumbags in and make the place a great place to live and bring up my family.
I know I am ranting but the price of petrol reflects all that is wrong with this government. I think we should do what the italians did a few years ago and vote in a porn star as prime minister, cant be any worse and at least she was nice to look at

:?I have a few friends in the fuel business who assure me that by the summer holidays it will be £1.50 a litre.:pirate:

As a previous poster said we demonstrated when it was around 90-95p, now it is £1.20 and nobody seems to be overly bothered.

Around $125 a barrell atm expected tobe $185-190

Wow just found out it was $50 in Jan 2007

$100 in Jan 2008 so it has gone up 25% since thestart of the year.

Jumped from 112.9p per litre to 115.9p overnight here.

Government will only drop it when an election is looming! ....... then they'll put it straight back up if they win!! :)
