Darren used to have Peterborough as location. You may visit him and talk about rep and word games in Misc :)

The only that's really worth a visit is the cathedral, the shopping isn't that great, I can't really think of anything else! haha (_;)

I worked there for 18 months.

It is horrific.

Highlights are the services on the A1, and Tesco's.

Seriously, its absolutely horrific in every single way.

Watch out for the poles.

You are probably thinking "what a ****, hes just got a downer on the place, it can't be that bad"

I don't blame you, but once you've been, you'll understand. Do post back and let me know I'm right :P

John Lewis for shopping and they have a football team so I hear

I live nearby and the rumours are true, It's a horrible place. John Lewis and Tesco at Hampton are the only decent things
#12

I once had lunch at Pizza Express there, then caught a train home but there was a peterboro/lincoln derby and the journey home was a bit hair raising

There is a restaurant / cocktail bar to the left of the passport office called Halo, it's a really nice place to relax & eat if you're looking for somewhere to eat :)

it felt even smaller with all the football hooligans and police , they never anounced our train was leaving so we ended up running and jumping on it, it was like the wild west at that station and we were on the last train out thank god

Maybe you thought it was a borough oO

Its my closest proper town centre and i think its ok for shopping and the cathederal looks pretty! Dont go that often cos the road there does my head in
#19
There is Ferry Meadows, Nene Valley Railway, Sacrewell Farm, The Museum and Art Gallery, Flag Fen to name a few things to do (http://www.peterborough.gov.uk/leisure_and_culture/museum_and_galleries/visiting_the_museum/peterborough_attractions.aspx)

If you are travelling by car,you could drive over to Stamford (approx 15 miles), should take 30mins.Its a beautiful old town with lots of more individual shops. Nice eating places too! You could make a good day of it,thats if you have quite a few hours to kill.
#20
I quite enjoy peterborough! I think the shops are great, cathedral lovely, some nice little tea rooms, and walks down by the canal. I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Oh and I second the above about Stamford, lovely place to visit.

Peterborough Viking Motorbike. :D

He always used to park round the back of John Lewis and pose for photos..........talked to him a few times when i used to work in town, he was a sound, really normal bloke.
#32
see he's not really a viking though is he, he's kind of a cross between skeletor, the witch king of akbar (LOTR reference) ghost rider and a knight that says "NI!"

he just has a viking helmet.
