One word, static
PC's don't like static and vacuums produce it, esp on the attachments
#2
but if the pc is earthed, ie still plugged in to the mains then why would static create a problem?

You can get this stuff in a can that you spray,Poundland got it,was posted up a wk or so ago.Otherwise its quite a few quid more I think in places like Maplin etc.
#4
cos not all of the pc will be earthed pedantically it's not worth the risk
#5
it sucks

Plus rarely does a hoover have the power to clear the dust in the places that matter most, the heatsinks!

It takes effort

Shengis
It takes effort

surely it takes more effort, blowing the dust deeper in to the crevices of your pc causing damage later on, as more dust builds up, then the dust that does manage to escape, I guess you just leave it on the floor :whistling:

I wouldn't know, I don't bother cleaning mine at all for the most part. When I do, I do a complete strip down and brush all the compacted dust out with a 2" paintbrush. Sod paying a quid for a tin of air.
