And 'y'. (not a vowel)

It's actually quite easy to work out. If you say both in front of the word it's usually quite obvious which is right.

Sorry I was meaning to say 'a' in front of 'y' words. My grasp of grammar is fine, thanks. I'll leave you all to discuss it amongst yourselves.

If you had a form that was printed on special paper and it got abbrieviated to SP, you would say I have an SP form for you to fill in 'cos the "S" is sounded es and therefore begins with a vowel.

Correct.

Try sayin...."I'm going to have an xmas to beat all xmases"
and............."I'm going to have a xmas to beat all xmases"

Which sounds right.

And I pray for you every night......but you never come. :w00t:

I didn't mean it like that :w00t:

I don't want to say those two sentences, too long :?

Were you an English teacher at some point?

Noooo.......it is simply 'there' as in here and there, 'their'... belongs to them, and they're is a shortened they are....
