Nokia 5800 Xpress Music.

Great phone, handles everything I throw at it.
Lacks multi-touch, lacks of emulators, although some work just not as well as they would on another phone.

All around great multimedia phone.

Planning on getting an iphone myself actually.

I have an Xda Orbit, great pda, full windows etc, but so complicated for me! I prefer a bog standard Nokia or something! I can't use the Tomtom or the other programs on it as I'm just not technologically minded!

Ive had the same phone for 3 years, Motorola L7, plays vids, mp3s, microsd slot. Sorted. Don't see the point in changing phones every month. I know an 8yr old who's had 4 phones this year. Sad.

Easy to use? I have a touch so am familiar with the apps etc. But as a phone - specifically a touchscreen (the renoir is and sometimes its abysmal interface wise) is it easy to live with?

As with all phone cameras, stay still and the pictures are fabulous

Battery life for me is great, kids play games on it all day, though others have had issues with battery life, my mrs with her 2G one and myself with my 3G havent.

No expansion slot but i'm guessing you knew that and your post was only a dig as you havent actually owned one yet, appologies if i am wrong:thumbsup:

Spot on , I had like 20-30 phones in a year!!! Until I got my first iPhone 1st gen, I sold it and got a n95 8gb , straight away I got one back as once your used to an iPhone you won't want another phone, it's really easy to use with an excellent touch screen and GUI. I also have a nokia 6500 slide which is an awesome phone , nicely built and feels expensive.Along with my 3g iPhone.

Hi I had a 2G and would probably get a 3GS if o2 improved the iphone tariffs.

I actually sold my iphone 2g to cex for more than I paid for it from the CPW.

xda mini s, bought second hand, is alright phone, but mine is faulty, if i had the money, would upgrade to an iphone lol.

Just got a Sony ericsson w995

Lovin it, really well built seems much better put together than the c905,
Nice chunky seperate speaker, 8mb mem card, camera takes superb pics in daylight, not so good for night shots (camera phones just dont do night shots)

plus it has the 3.5mm input so i can use my own headphones without an adapter

I have an iphone 3G. It is good but nowhere near as perfect as everyone is making out. The lack of Flash support stops you from viewing lots of internet sites. Flash will never come to the iphone because apps can be written in Flash so bypassing the App Store entirely and Apple will never allow that. The lack of multitasking means you cant switch between apps - they have to be closed and opened all the time. For example if you're reading an email and there is a link to website in it, clicking the link will close the mail app and open safari. There's no way to go back to the email you were in without restarting mail and navigating to the email again. This is the reason that TomTom for the iphone has a separate gps receiver in the cradle - because when the iphone gets a phone call in the middle of navigating the TomTom app will close down along with the built in gps receiver so you can take the call and then open up again afterwards. Without the receiver in the cradle the iphone will lose the position and have to re-acquire. Battery lasts 12 hours for me so I charge every night.

I'm using a Sony C905 myself. Great phone, excellent camera, OK MP3 player. Does everything I need it to and probably loads that I don't need! Having said that it did have to go back for repair soon after I had it - seems to be a common problem with internal speakers failing on the first release models. All fine now though.

Got an iphone for Mrs Evil_Monkey last week and she's loving it, despite not really wanting one in the first place. Downloading free apps as fast as we can now! Much as I like my C905 I can't wait for my contract to end so I can get an iphone myself.
