What not to wear!
I have a predicament and I'm after some expertise. I'm joining a gym for the first time next week and it just occurred to me I have no idea what folk wear in these places as never been inside one I'm my life!!
I currently own no trainers just casual shoes and no trousers other than work/jeans. I also own shorts but these are knee length fashion style.
Top half I should be fine as have t-shirts.
I just don't want to turn up to the gym like the new kid in school, in shiny clean impractical shoes, ridiculous trousers and generally looking like a spiv!
I'm not into exercise so when I get to the gym I plan mainly on running/cycling etc probably no weights. I'm tall and have big feet (don't know if that makes a difference for shoe style!) and have a slight beer gut/moob combo (hence the gym) so nothing Lycra please!!!
Help!!

if you are going for weights get some training gloves, they help alot.
it really is that easy.
so how do you know it is any good, and what sort of equipment they have?
inb4 gym doesnt exist
So no induction then?
sounds a little weird to me, so when you sign up online what do you have to give them? credit card details?

Ah...
Q: Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
A: Yes, we provide a free half hour induction in which we will show you how to operate the equipment, should you require this.

Its not a con.
We have ''the gym'' here in plymouth, £15 a month open 24hours and unlimited use.
The thing is there is no reception, you get given a swipe card and in you go.
