Lots of people survive it and have happy lives. Its about risks and what length the individual will go to. :-(

read this earlier, you just dont know what can go wrong?
can happen to anyone!

I dont understand why people put themselves through cosmetic surgery - I would never have surgery for cosmetic reasons.

There are people out there who are really hideous and yet they have a family - its whats inside that counts. No amount of surgery can change that

Totally agree, some people are very sad.

... but if there's something about your appearance that you're really hung up about and is making you feel self-conscious, then it can have a real affect on your mental wellbeing. And the risks of most cosmetic surgeries are (relatively) low. So I say, it's up to the individual to decide and balance the risk v benefit.

That's really sad :-( Kanye always said he was close to his mum so for her to die like that is really tragic.

Very sad.

I agree with some cosmetic surgery like my mum had a reconstruction after breast cancer. She wasn't going to as she didn't want anymore surgery but in the end it gave her back some confidence in her appearance and stopped her being restricted in what she could wear.

Alot though is totally unecessary, especially when trying to look younger. It catches up with you eventually.

All surgery is with risk no matter what it is.

I'd say each to their own nothing to do with anyone else really

that's so sad.

and strangely enough i was going to do a poll on cosmetic surgery, to see if anyone had, had any, and what the general feel was about it, and to see if anyone was brave enough to admit they had or would like to have some done, was thinking myself, perhaps i shall think twice!

well I'll go first and admit I had some done.

I trashed my nose when I was younger (tripped over a dog whilst running down a newly-gravelled road - ouch!). I was 14 and it ruined my self confidence, so to have some minor surgery under a local anaesthetic, and get my self-confidence back was a no-brainer :-)

do I get bonus points for being brave?

I'd still have cosmetic surgery, I try and look after my appearance, but as I get older I might need a nip here or a tuck there..... it's up to the individual :)

i agree with you, you never think you will get older and bits need sorting out, lol. but think i am too vain about my appearance, but each to their own, i say!

I'm totally vain about mine  I've told hubby that I'll keep try and keep myself in shape and looking half decent, but I want a Harley Street season pass for my 40th birthday :giggle:
