My husbands xbox 360 hard disk has just died. Is it covered by the extended 3 year warranty or not?

He hardly ever uses it as we have every other console, so what would it be worth to just sell as it is? or is it worth buying a new hard didk for it? any ideas on prices?

Thanks

I think a 120gb hard drive will set you back about £45 - £50 second hand.
I think the three year guarantee only covers certain aspects ie. RROD.

ok thanks. What is the xbox worth if I sell it as it is?

It's had very minimal use by an adult

sell it if he doesnt use it anyway - sell as faulty £50 maybe - try ebay

How old is the drive?
To get a price, it might be an idea to state what he has?

I'm not up on 360's but I think that there were 3 that came with a hard drive.

If you bought it new, I would return it to the shop. The worst they can do is to misinform you about your rights.

Pretty sure we had it from Game. I've probably still got the receipt somewhere

tbh S.O.G.A wont help in most cases. Regarding price , its one of the oldest consoles more than likely a zephyr.

Worth around £50.

A new hdd would cost you £20 for 20gb.

yeah but they can't deny it, if you have the website print out, then they will have to take it, because its the law, and if they don't accept it, all you need is a solicitor to go in there and then they WILL accept it (i will try and find the link about what has happened in this situation, give me 5 minutes)

Forget a solicitor, that will cost you £100 before you start!

not in all cases it wont, a lot of them claim money from the other party.

Not for a small claims court matter they don't.
