found thread, but no real answers, i could only get to the site through a poxy, so think it may have had something to do with my service provider
#28
I've asked about it on the Be forums, they are pretty good at answering queries. we'll see what they say.

There's a guide kicking about telling you how to change your DNS settings.

Don't quote me, but I think it was guv who gave the info...

Try using these for you DNS settings in the router:

Primary 87.194.255.154

Secondary 87.194.0.53

Thats what Im using and seems to be ok. (Im on Bethere and can access Deal extreme ATM)

Click on configuration and run the setup wizard. Dont change anything until you get to the DNS settings. Make a note of what you have - just in case - and amend to the above.

Computer says no. :?
#38
I've just followed the advice I was given on the Be forums, and changed the setting for my DNS servers.
I can now access DX fine.
#39
if anyone every gets certificate error and the computer refuses to connect to the site. check your date.

my neighbours messed around with there date and it took me 20mins of changing tons and tons of settings but none worked.

i installed firefox and it told me about the cert being out of date.

check the date and that was the problem

If using O2, please try switching your DNS provider as O2 have known issues regarding near- and far- east service name resolution.

Please see this post for a "how to" on switching your DNS name server.

The IP address(es) that are preferable for these name servers are 208.67.222.222 and (secondary) 208.67.220.220

Hope this helps.

PS I am using O2 and cannot reach dealextreme other than by switching to OPENDNS at this time
