o2 Cant recommend them enough, £7.50 a month if you have an o2 phone £12.50 otherwise, unlimited downloads, great speeds (pay for 8meg package but get speeds topping 12-13) customer service is excellent no queues and agents that do know their harris from their elbow too freephone too and english call centres so no accent barriers.

I was going to ask the same question. My sister was going to get AOL (like me) but they are taking the mick, after a month and they still not given a router. Will cancel and get O2 me thinks. Do they give a free router? Also could you get a PAYG O2 phone to become a customer?

will back up what the others said and recommend o2

and yes u get a free wireless router

and im pretty sure u can be a payg customer as long as u top up i think its £10 every 3 months

Checking it now and it's 'unlimited' usage and only a year contract.

All present and correct spend £10 per 3 months (ie topup £10 every 3 months) and save £5 a month so even if you arent a o2 mobile customer you come off the equivalent of £5 better off (plus £10 mobile credit) per 3 month period:thumbsup:, the top ups to start your discount dont need to be until near the end of your first 3 months either.

Hate to be pedantic (well I love it actually) but IP stands for internet protocol. So you require an IP, which I would presume is an address. So the best IP address to go with, is the one you get automatically assigned. :giggle:

As for ISP's, dont go with Orange, their customer service is pants. I'm with BT and they are great. The wireless range is fantastic.

Be is also a very good one, i've just switched to them, no problems, £8 a month until January, or at least it was. I think they are a subsiduary of 02, or the other way round.

That's pretty much what I thought when I saw the title, I thought this might be another piracy thread discussion anonymous proxies or similar.

Zen are a very good ISP but O2 do appear to be the best value choice at the moment.
