I used makemkv, doesn't take too long, relatively simple. MAkes a large image though, about 6-7gb.

http://www.dvdfab.com/en/hd-decrypter.htm
for MPEG-2 eg DVD compliant files.

http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download ..Mirror 6 take your tiem clicking through and untick ask toolbar before clicking next install etc.

can convert ISO/VIDEO_TS to divx/xvid/ipod + others .. MP4 which is probs what ya desire uses you would need to check video playback specs on that though

Handbrake is also good

Really liking DVDfab, not had much success with the others but thats probably because I'm stoopid.

I uploaded Incredibles with dvdfab but got the running commentary so will have to do it again, how do I avoid such annoyance in the future??

select ac3 5.1 for 5.1(if playing on non 5.1 system make sure dvd player is set to downmix) and select ac3-2.1 for stereo (look at end for words like directors or commentary)
