It's actually a great idea and I'm surprised no one has thought of it but since we're not technical, we don't know how to create the system.

Who do you recommend we approach to get the idea off the ground without getting ripped off?

draw diagrams /write down ideas, get patents. then do whatever you want without having to worry.
#2
while your waiting for your patent I would reconmend putting your ideas in a envelope and send it to yourself through the post leave it sealed its not fool roof but it helps with back dating patents etc

We haven't got any diagrams at the moment, as it's more of an idea, so we don't know how it can be executed, so we will need ideas on how implement it.

We also need to know how to make it a reality on a global scale.

I was considering approaching business link with the idea and see what they recommend.

So....what's the idea? LOL :-D

If I didn't know you a little better.... I would be convinced this was another of "those" threads!

Yes - as others have said, you need to register a patent.

Have you received enough advice?

You can get confidential advice regarding your proposed application from a number of different sources, such as patent attorneys, solicitors, or our staff.

Lol, I've got great ideas but struggle to get the right technical people on board to get it off the ground but I think this one is a million pound idea. :)

BTW Guv, I do need to speak to you about something else soon though, hopefully tonight if you're on MSN, yeah? :)

I wouldn't approach anyone other than a good Patent lawyer & for me that would include any local "business units" or advisors etc. as some of these people can be closely tied to other businesses etc.
Consider how complex the product/idea is and how likely it is that someone could copy this once you have it as a reality. If it is going to be very complex in design etc. & perhaps very difficult for somone to copy then you may be better puting the resources into the product rather than the Patent route.
If it's very simple & could easily be copied then probably better to go down the Patent route.
Consider though in which countries you will register the Patent as the more countries means more fees for things like translations etc. & this could prove very costly but a good Patent lawyer can advise you on this.
Once you are happy that you are covered then approach a company that is good in the field you are looking at & take time to visit them, see there past products/projects/customers.
If it is electronic based then you would be best with a good design/manufacturing house rather then a company who is into end products in my opinion.

Would you actually do it though, as you kept disappearing the last time you were gonna help me out? :w00t:

I thought you were attempting to become a magician. :p

I presume it's some kind of Computer System? If so, let me know and I can recommend some people. I'm also looking for investment opportunities at the moment, so could throw a bit of cash your way

You hacked into BG1's ficticious bank account and refused to spend the ZERO amount?

Good luck whatever the outcome is.

I invented something I thought was good and would change the world. I just simply needed a killer name for it.

Then my son said dad pass me that pen.

I can sense there's a joke there...but I can't seem to see it right now.

Did you try and re-invent the pen? :w00t:

I searched for his ficticious account, but the computer said "nooooo". I did hear a rumour about a piggy bank with £37.64p in though. (But I think that's just all rumour.)

You should do a market search to see if there are similar items already in the market before you go on with your idea(s).
#35
So, what was the idea? You a millionaire yet?
