What's the deal with Play Asia?

Does anyone know much about this website? It appears that they're selling xbox 360 games for CHEAP which are also REGION FREE.

How is this legal? Are they copies or something? Surely if games are released with region locks on them, how can there be a cheaper region-free release?

Am very wary of buying from them.

Anyone think / know otherwise?

Only some dont have region locks on them, for a list of them they're here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games_without_region_encoding
The games and such are also cheaper because nobody buys the games in asia/japan so they have to sell them cheap.
Also have a look at www.liksang.com for imports

I was just thinking of posting this, but had a search so thought i'd renew this thread.
I'm looking for anybody who has purchased from here.
Have you ever been charged import duty?!
thanks

It's basically a gray import.. you can get charged import duty & VAT at customs if unlucky.. rarely happens though. Playasia has been around a long time. All their merchandise is legit Japanese/Asian releases. Most japanese games consoles aren't region locked for the simple reason they get games first anyways.

I've bought off play asia on 2 separate occasions and didn't get charged import tax either time. Quick delivery as well.

Nice one!!
Just another quick question, what delivery option did you guys go for?!
I'm not sure if the cheap "bubble wrap" one would protect something flying round the world!
