Just wondering what the quickest and easiest way to get to the 02 is please (and out of the 02 after the concert!).

It's not for me but my boss will probably come by train to London Paddington and we are looking at the quickest and easiest way to get the 3 of them to a concert and out of a concert after!

Thank you!

Easiest way I can see is to get on the underground at Paddington on the District/Circle line. Change at Westminster to the Jubilee line and get off at North Greenwich. O2 is less than 2 mins walk from NGreenwich, just follow the crowds.

I would suggest the Tube. Use TFL website for detailed info. On the right of the screen it will show journey planner. Enter Paddington and then North Greenwich. However be careful at weekends, lots of 'maintenace' work taking place and journeys can be an absolute pig. Last time we were there the tube wasnt running on that section and people were using the Thames river taxi service.
Taxis are available, but there didnt seem many waiting when we left Blue Man Group, full arena and only 3 taxi's waiting !!(we left just before the end and got last one in queue).Having said that the taxi driver said they expected it to finish later, so maybe more would have been available.
Btw, all forms of transport use North Greenwich hub, taxi, bus, tube and boat. Take your pick, but tube is easiest and fastest, if working !

As a northerner (oops) . . . . . .

I drove south on M1 as far as Sandford, parked the car at the underground station and got a return to Greenwich village (I think)

Jubilee line if I remember correctly.

It takes circa 55 mins from Sandford to Greenwich but the seats are comfy.

Hope I did good

Be sure to check if any works on the line to plan your journey.

What about the Thames Clipper River Service? I see it takes about 30 minutes but is this a preferred method or is the tube easier?

I think tube easier and I went to o2 twice last year, however if there is work on the Jubilee line it be nice to go across the river.

Tube is much easier. River boat is more scenic. The stop for the boat is only a couple of minutes walk from the O2.
Maybe nice to take the boat there and the tube back.

Take the route from Dover to Manchester and you end up driving right past it.

Well I did anyway..........

I've just remembered . . .

Went to the O2 for a Stones concert which started at 7.00 pm, but arrived at noon!

Had the best afternoon by getting on the Thames Clipper ferry (£4.50 return I think) to the London Eye / Southbank

Tube is by far the easiest....but if its a weekend then beware all the work on the Jubilee Line. As i said before TFL will tell you if its open or there is planned work when you put your travel dates in.
If you decide on the Clipper beware it can book out quickly for the preferred travel times on gig nights at the O2.
