What's your favourite ever sporting moment?

After watch Ronnie O'Sullivan make a 147 in 5 mins and 20 seconds, I wonder what your fave sporting moment is?
Is it England '66, John Lowes 9 darter, Ashes victory etc.

Ronnie's 147 was ace.

Gazza's goal against Scotland in euro 96 stands out. I spent hours trying to replicate it

2005 Champions League Final - greatest final ever

We scored two and won the game in stoppage time in true United fashion.

I don't really think coming from 3 - 0 down and taking it to stoppage time + pens equals that, Especially as you didn't also win the league, Best in Europe but not in the League how's that figure?.

Erm, the year Utd won the league they had finished second in the league the season before so wern't champions. Further, when Utd won the European Cup in 67 - 68 they didn't win the league that season - Best in Europe but not in the League how's that figure?

Secondly, grabbing two goals in the final minutes is in no way comparable to coming from 3 down at half time against one of the best Milan teams ever when the highest stake in the game was on the line!

Why are you trying to compare them both. Surely there's not a chance a Liverpool fan is going to see Man Utd winning champ league as their favourite sporting moment and vice versa??

Hearts winning the Scottish Cup in 1998 after gubbing the not so mighty Gers 2-1. Waited a long long time for that and victory being all the more sweeter as the final was held at Celtic Park.

At the point we won the CL we won the League, We don't get a free pass, Although I do think only the Champion's of each league should play in Europe.

Sure coming from 3-0 down in 45 minutes was great but we won the game in 2 minutes the other 89 minutes we weren't even on the pitch lol.

My logic tells me 2 goals in 2 minutes is better than 3 goals in 45 minutes.

You seem to have ignored all of my previous comment: Further, when Utd won the European Cup in 67 - 68 they didn't win the league that season - Best in Europe but not in the League how's that figure?

"My logic tells me 2 goals in 2 minutes is better than 3 goals in 45 minutes." The way I see that is 89 minutes of boring football with an exciting conclusion. The 6 goal final is much more exciting/dramatic whatever you want to call it
