What's your most obsolete bit of technology?

Mine would have to be the Iomega zip drive I heavily invested in when a student 6 years ago to store all my big files....wowee 125 MB discs! Then an upgrade to 250mb discs! The uni installed zip drives in all their machines....

Now my latest 2GB flash drive blasts it out of the water...infact, a recordable cd-r did that years ago!

mine is probably my Sony Mini Disc player...but I still take it out on my hikes as it still performs well and if it gets lost or broken it's not going to hurt as much as damage to my £120 Creative Zen.

I have a lot of the old consoles, but I wouldn't really call them obsolete.

Something like my Sharp Mini-Disc player is pretty obsolete as carrying the discs around is ludicrous. The sound and build quality is awesome though, it also feels surprisingly small and still held a healthy charge after 3 years sat in a cupboard!!!

Goodmans CD/MP3 player, which I bought 4 years ago. It is still going strong but I am not using it anymore. Another one is RF AV transmitter I used to use for PC->TV video display.

A full size mini-disc recorder and a portable one bought about 6 months before MP3 arrived!! - Bo**ocks!

Ah my SNES :)
I love it though, was only about £10 2 years ago aswell :)

Luckily, my mum still had all my old snes games, so i only had to buy a few!

No i never did have one of those....surprisingly.
First i've heard of a leak and i can see the Wilton chemical complex from my house about a mile away. Then again,It's happened before and those of us that are nearest at risk are always the last to find out.

Atari 800XL. Loved Star Raider. Still have it somewhere.

Most pointless thing was the Megadrive 32X. Was an idiot to buy that thing.

Ahh, was that Peter Gabriel - US? I had the comparatively awful PC version :viking:

I spent so much of my life hunting down CD-I games it makes me cry not to own them now. The three I mentioned above can be supplemented by MadDog II, Crime Patrol, Drug Wars, Thunder in Paradise, Brain Dead 13.

Cost me £20 a pop but I got them all brand new/sealed :)

Mine's a BBC Master computer
#18
64mb Pen drive/mp3 player. It's in a drawer somewhere and I can't be bothered to do anything with it. It's been replaced by three Ipods and a 2gb Kingston pen drive :)

I worry how many old 8 and 16 meg SD Cards I have lying around the house crying their little eyes out.
#20
I can't believe manufacturers still include 32mb SD cards with new Cameras! They must be good for about 8 photos!
#21
A dot matrix printer from around 1990ish and an 80 meg hard drive.
#22
Not sure if you'd call it technology but my juicer must be near the top of the list. Think its juiced 2 oranges and a couple of apples in about 6mths!

I was looking in the attic in the Summer and found a SEGA consol and I still have the original Sonic cartridge for it, it must be 15 years old, OMG and then I had to break it to my kids that Sonic on their DS was not a new game and yes in those days he did spin, ah I want to get it out now and have another go at getting Sonic thru that watery maze. Whoaaa :viking:
