well im going out to asda and aldi ...aldi for the veg , dont know what else to get ...only got about £17 quid till tuesday (apart from the £10 on as standby )

what shall i get

Pot Roast beef, gravy, mashed and roasted spuds, carrots, cauliflower cheese and follow up with rhubarb crumble and custard!

My man has man flu! :-(


just got over that , thought i had aids or ummat ....took a total of 5 weeks to feel ok again , runny nose , headaches , vomiting etc sore throat , ear infection , chest was bad for ages . still cant shift the cough

awww. its a bad one cos Lynds had it and it knocked her for 6 , normally like most females shes immune whearas we men get hit 2x as hard , truly believe that this will be proven soon ....tell him to just drift in an out of sleep and take it easy :thumbsup:

dont like salmon , want a roast but the meat is the sticking point , we are all starving but i was gonna wait and get from asda before it shuts if any is marked down ...thinking now pork chops in onions and mushroom gravy ...pot, roast pots cauli, cabbage, carrots, broccoli sprouts , peas, puddings. Gravy

right think i have made me mind up , the above sounds lovely ...although the meat is still up for debate , cant have owt that takes too long to cook

If you go on a sunday morn the breads all reduced to 30p or summat ......i get loads and freeze it , itl be gone now ...........:x

Yeh, I'm the same, usually always buy fresh but this was on special. Have had it once b4 month or so ago and was very nice, will have to wait till about 5 ish b4 I know about this one though :thumbsup:

Although my favorite pub lunch is roast beef, my favorite home made Sunday lunch by far is something called 'Pie Crust' that my Mam makes.

Beef filling with a suet crust brushed lightly with egg and cooked in a large lasagne style dish in the oven. Serve with the usual veggies and a big dollop of creamy mash.
