My daughter plays the cello just as I do... she also has her Dad's artistic abilities.

What skills did your kids inherit from you? Whether it be genetic or learned.

Celebrate our children :) x

hmmm....thats a tough one my boy is a bit different to me, he doesnt play football at all - where i played a lot and at a decent level (not as good as JFK though)!.

being left handed would be a genetic one he gets from me and he has good manners, is loving and caring like me also.

I honestly think things like being good at maths/english etc is something we inherit in our genes xx

My eldest son has a caring nature about him, and loves his football.
My daughter is a gobby little 'mare, and loves her food.
My youngest son has an almost unnatural obsession for cars and car racing, like me.

Wife thinks she just incubated, as they neither look like her, or in the most part, behave like her. :w00t:

Both my daughters, 9 and 13, can down a yard of ale in under 10 seconds.:w00t:

My Son likes all the horrible food his Dad does that I can't stand (Olives, Capers, Garlic)
He is very good at maths, just like me
He looks just like me (except he's a boy)

BUT he has his fathers incredibly windy bottom and is proud of it too

I'm lolling at his " windy" bottom lol

My lil man gets heartburn loads just like his Dad does too... think it's the way their bodies are joined up inside ;-)

Its funny watching them develop, my OH likes to put his socks between his toes and when DS was a toddler he started doing it too!! And my OH likes to push the seams of any material down his finger nails, and now my son has started doing this too. Its like they inherit habits!!!

I think they do!!

My daughter his this way of covering up any sharp corners on things.. like right angles on the table? And I say to her... "why do you do that?" And she reckons she's convinced she'll bump her head on it.... But her head isn't anywhere near it?

And i mentioned this to her Dad and he was like... "Wow, I used to worry about that myself when I was her age... "

How weird, its like they can even inherit obscure worries too!

You are absolutely right.
I was lying.

The 13 year old has it down to 15 seconds, while the 9 year old is hovering about the 20 second mark.
And if I change it to cider, then you can add another 30 seconds on to that. ( More fizzy you see ).

Phil you're awful, you know I believe everythin you say ;-)

My little girl takes more after me with her shyness, gentle nature and love of reading, but gets her artistic side and left handedness from her father.

My little boy is a big cuddler, loves computers, games and his DS and finds things where people fall over or embarrass themselves in public hilarious, which def comes from me

Both of them are absolutely gorgeous and totally loveable which has absolutely nothing to do with their father :w00t::-D
