What to buy mum for Birthday

Ok, I need some help here. I'm pretty unoriginal when it comes to Birthday pressies but for my mums birthday I want to do something really special for her....but I don't have a clue what?!

I was thinking maybe some theatre tickets or something, but as her birthday is in August there isn't much on - There is some African dance/circus show on which sounds interesting but i'm not sure if she'd actually like it?!

So um yeah, if possible, could you give me some ideas?!

I know you don't know her or what she likes (sometimes i struggle!) but any help would be appreciated :) Thanks.

ok I was thinking about what pressies my mum liked best. Gotta say it was a toss up between a nintendo DS and a goat and a flock of gunnie fowl.

lol you bought your mum a goat?! :o
I've got a DS, she's had a go of it a few times but isn't really that interested. But thanks for the suggestions ;)

for my mums b-day i took her to london, coz she has never been there before, took her for a tour, lost her on the underground, lol and took her maddam tussards and to planet hollywood, cost loads, anyway my point being, why don't you just have a lovely day out with your mum, that will be remembered more than any pressie you could give.

aww, you can get a goat couple to!

how about making her a hamper? it's more personal that way, you can put in bits she likes, how about a film hamper, so you spend the night together...

bar of chocolate, wine, dvd, popcorn, ... :)

if you do go for a day out, how about doing a picnic for you both? it's quite like a gf / bf thing but she might appreciate it! :)

Please don't. Not very personal. I am sure by that age she has all the vases she needs.

If you get a photo frame, make sure you put a treasured photo in it, so it is all done. I am similar age. Agree, a day out organised by you would be a brilliant surprise. No effort on her part, would never be forgotten. The time and effort you put into organising it would be much appreciated, I am sure

I got my mum a swimming pool put in with built in heater but if you are mot looking to spend much then what about a hot air ballon ride as in august the sun sets are grand and it wont cost the earth and she will remember it for some time.

All the best twatty. pen pen

I think photobox are doing a special offer on collage pictures. Make it personal and cost effective!

Digital photoframe...put in a few of your childhood pics or if you have any siblings their pics..family events graduation pics, basically any good memories you've that your mum would cherish...i am sure she would love it....you could always make her a cake on her bday (don't attempt if you can't cook.lol)
