What to get 14 yr old girl as moving in present?

Hi I was hoping someone could give me some ideas as to what to get a 14 year old girl as a new home present. I don't know anything about her, whether she is girly or a tomboy so is there something which would be ok to give to either. I only wanted to give something small, any suggestions? I'm clueless.

A journal or nice notebook and pen?
At that age my girls were constantly writing stuff that no one else was allowed to read... :)

Very strange, maybe you should explain it a bit better.

^^^^^^
This.

What about giving the adults the moving in present. I assume they are the ones paying for all this, not the 14 year old.

Lol nosy people, it's a very long story.

I really like the idea of a notebook and pen, I should be able to find a nice one out shopping today.

Not nosy...............well a bit lol. Just might help if there was a bit more info. If she is moving in with you then take her shopping to get to know her and then you would have an idea of what to treat her to.

You can get notebooks with a lock on them - she might appreciate a bit of privacy!

she asked for ideas of a gift for a young girl......why do you need to know the ins and outs of who she is and why she is getting a present?

I reckon some kind of voucher is the way to go,my niece is 13 and doesn't write much of anything now she has a netbook it's all MSN and Facebook, she's not a chocolate lover either so the pen and choccies idea wouldn't be that great for her.

It's difficult when you don't know the person.

Because it would depend on what i would buy. If it was someone that was being fostered for example, they are probably coming with very little so anything that would actually be theirs to mark their stamp on a strange place would be a nice gesture anyway. I'm actually trying to put some thought into it rather than weedle out information.

she said she doesnt know anything about her.......so a generic gift for a teenage girl is all thats required something small nd inexpensive

this is enough for me to suggest something.....i dont need to know someones life story to spend a fiver on a gift

keep weedleing if you want:w00t:

Well instead of reading too much into my motives and making whatever you like out of them, suggest something as a gift smart fella. because all you have done is troll.

See id agree with this to. You cant stereotype them as all oen big brand. I think a voucher for somewhere is best but again, she maybe not use itunes so an i tune voucher would be useless. I go with a shower set maybe, some kind of gift set like that as its the only one garuntee you have that she is going to get washed at some point?

What about a Me to You teddy bear or ornament? Difficult if you don't know her but most girls like me to you bears and they're a bit more grown up than a normal teddy.
