About £40. Was thinking a flagrance but isnt that OTT? She seems to like chocolates so i may consider just getting some nice thorntons in gift wrap.

yeah chocolates would be nice, they do these cool little chocolate champagne bottle things in thorntons that you can personalise for £6.50, maybe give her that with £20-30 gift voucher for debenhams/next etc and a bottle of wine....im sure shell appreciate anything you get her, doubt many others would make the effort

flowers, chocolates or something worthwhile for her job - a new briefcase , pen ?????
#15
What about a new diary for next year? Something which she will use in her day to day job??

Chocolates is either hit or miss. Mrs Scoff works in a school and she quite oftens gets bought these special thorntons packs, they always go straight back to the shop. As she don't have the receipt they usually give her a credit note, which then gets spent over the year on birthday cards, chocs for others, teddys etc.

As for chocs, she would prefere a block of dairy milk.

If you are spending that much I would suggest vouchers because you know she is getting something she wants then, how about theatre vouchers or restaurant vouchers as something different to the usual?

What subject does she teach? Approx how old? Might give us some ideas as to what she would like

Lol, what about a mug with a class photo on? Some deals around at the moment

 I'm gobsmacked they even let you take chocolates back to a shop - they could have been tampered with. Remember the guy who injected food with some sort of poison/weedkiller?
