Heres the thing, I have all tastes to cater for people who wont eat turkey, beef ,lamb or duck then theres the vegetarians, what on earth do I do for the main meal.
I have been racking my brains what goes with the veg,
Wish I could order in a pizza and be done with it,
Any suggestions ?

Have pizza! It's something everyone likes. Do a kind of little buffet thing, then theres something for everyone, like you would at a party, and if anyone moans, tell them to not be so fussy ;-)

Why don't you serve a nice plate full of "BE RUDDY GRATEFUL AND EAT WHAT YOU ARE GIVEN AND I HAVE SLAVED OVER FOR HOURS YOU FUSSY GITS!!!"

Then serve up some humble pie to finish.

Humbug.

my sister in law is a vegetarian-she likes salmon-so i am doing turkey for some adults, sausages for the kids who don't want turkey (easy as doing the chippolatas with bacon anyway) and also salmon for my sister in law !

Veg wise we all love veg-so no problem there..........but always do carrots, peas, sweetcorn etc-and bread sauce-my favourite !

No one to cook for right now so depends which invite I take up. One friend who has invited me seems allergic to any veg so probably give that a miss. May pop past on Boxing Day with some food.
Probably go for traditional Turkey, Brussels, Parsnips, bread sauce, mini sausages with bacon rap and trifle or mince pies to finish at my brothers place with his family.

We're having M&S oakham chicken or silverside with parsnip & carrot mash & brussel sprouts with pot croquets with a little mash.

I stopped making turkey years ago as I hate it & refused to cook it on the most special day of the year!

****** the vegetarians - they've made their choice in life let them bring their own bloody dinner!

Just reread the OP. With veggies to look after as well this might be useful. http://www.asdamagazine.com/page/9/
There are some really nice meal ideas and recipiesthroughout the mag. Might give you some hints.
In France they base their meal on Christmas Eve (main day) around fish.
Might give you some extra options.
