round up, I asked the same on here and had this recommended, although I've been told that wilko's do one and its the same stuff different bottle (ie produced in same factory to same @recipe@).

It takes a while - a week or so before you see results and it ust seems to happen overnight. Once youve done it and killed them buy a riddle and go through the top layer of soil to remove all root traces too, time consuming but well worth the effort in the long term.

What are you in? If you are south yorks/north derbyshire way I can highly recommond the people who supplied our turf both on quality and price (£1.50 square meter delivered)

The active ingredient in RoundUp is glyphosate; you may be able to get some cheaper.
I guess you're pleased with your new turf harlz:-D

Salt the earth. No weeds but no life.

I'd say round up too

Just spray it on the leaves and the plant will absorb it killing the roots too. It takes a week or so but child and animal friendly

I bought some Round Up from my local Wyvale garden centre last week

It was £4.99 for a litre with a £1 off, there was also a £1.50 cash back offer on the neck of the bottle

Bargain, meant to put it on here but forgot as I was flying off to Portugal

It does, but the weeds can come back as new weeds - which is why you need to turn the soil every 3-4 weeks and remove any new growth.

you cant plant anything for n soil for around 6 months after this is used so dont use it

caustic soda works as a weedkiller aswell not alot of people know this and its 1.cheaper than most weedkillers and 2.has more uses

Burn them out with a blow torch, no chemicals required.

Burn them out with a blow torch, no chemicals required.

that only tends to kill the top, it still leaves the roots to regrow, whereas a systemic weedkiller will absorb down to most of the roots.
