Get a smaller engine, walk a bit more, do you want taxing on something else and promote more driving?

we are all ( and me) weak and weasel like. We put up with anything whilst we get milked by the fat cats.
Give us a party worth voting for and a leader who has real qualities. I feel it's too late.

In 50 years time, petrol prices will be at a universal high - The last litre will be worth millions.

What else would you take tax on? Need to get people to drive less for environmental reasons, need to pay off deficit! Tax fuel it makes sense and is hard for other parties to argue against.

Tax smokers even more I say, take some off the petrol :)

I've seen people paying more than that for a bottled WATER!

Sorry.. but I don't think your Green party will win the election. Don't believe the hype about Global warming.
I'd tax non essential luxury items..
I'd legalize prostitution and milk the tax from that... I bet thats worth billions a year..
Tax cigarettes more... therefore saving money in the NHS
.. sell contraband thats illegally smuggled rather than destroy it.. etc etc

Don't assume I believe the hype about global warming or am a green! I personally have a 2.8l car and think global warming is a lot to do with a natural cycle. However lots of people do believe it so I understand why it is heavily taxed.

Of course that wouldn't be fair, if there aim is to cut road usage it's fair, same as if they want to discourage smoking tax it at 90%. I am sure they (the government) dont want to discourage working therefore don't tax it at 70%.
