:santa: MERRY CHRISTMAS :santa:

For me it would depend on where the item came from. If it was an ebay seller i would contact them and let them know.

If it was a big company like amazon i would keep it, after all it is their mistake.

Also does the £200 item meet your needs? That could be another way of deciding what to do.
#7
il buy another 100 of them.
#8
It is not a small company, its a high street store and popular website.
#9
It is a Sony Reader, and I ordered a leather cover with light for the Sony Reader (Which I ordered from somewhere else!)
#10

Lol, not one person said send it back yet. I asked on another site as well and have had 2 replies so far, both saying they would send it back as long as the store collected it (wouldnt go to the post office)
#19
I'd send back the original one you bought for a refund, then sit back and enjoy... lol

In law, if you are given something in the post which is addressed to you and it something you never ordered or something of more value, you can accept it as a gift.

Can't remember the act for this... prob in trade desciptions Act or sale of goods... I'm a bit rusty not done law for a while

If the invoice is for £34 I'm struggling to see how they could work out that it's you that has caused their Reader stock to go down by one...

Yep - I agree with you - I am only half scrupilous!!!
#35
I'm afraid that I'd keep it as well; I'd feel guilty though.
#36
Look at it this way times are hard for many people this year so think of it as an added bonus or and early christmas present x
#37
I reckon you should send it back as keeping it would be wrong.
#38
send it to me and i'll buy you a cover for it!!!

as long as the invoice says what you ordered and quotes £34 then MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

In the meantime buy your cover and if they contact you you already have a cover with invoice from them and your reader from elsewhere with an invoice for that too :)

No way they can prove they sent you an reader in error.
