honestly is important,

Do I do the alpha thing and keep with her and use her.

You suggest honesty, but think about not being honest yourself? :S

Stand there looking at - amazed to find a £20 note! Probably get it nicked out of my hand:?
#4
Finders keepers.

Hand it in It's not worth the guilt over a £20 note.
You will feel much better when you have handed it in....
( also you get to have it if no-one claims it LoL )
#6
But think what would happen if you handed it in.

Policeman: Yes sir, can you describe this £20 note?
Man: Um *pulls another out of pocket* Um, it looks like this...
Policeman: :|

I would pick it up go and gamble it and see what i can make of it... easy come easy go i say

20 i would keep - if it was few hundred would hand in to police - majority of people would -

kids found a gold chain while ago so we handed it in to police station - 3 months later they contacted saying it was never claimed so we had it - honesty does pay -

How would you feel if you lost £20.00,, me Gutted! I'd Handed it Back!!
#10
found a pay packet once with £400 in it,handed it in and owner gave me a very small bar of choccy worth 25p.:x
#11
If I found it in the street I would more then likely keep it. Wouldn't hand it in but if I could see the person who dropped it I would go and give it back to them.

I once found a suitcase which had files and a lil bit of money in back when i was a kid and took it back to my mom who rang police who just came and took it... not a thing given. I also found a bag... a women had been mugged over fields by me but it still had her address in so i took it round there myself and she was very nice, didnt give me anything but i didnt expect anything. did make me feel good though
#15
I once found a Bundle of twenties wrapped up with a cheque. I had to hand it in as there was proof of who owned it. But, a lone twenty pounds is different as anybody could walk in to a police station and say they had lost some money and get it.

I would let it be, probably the person would come round

for £20 I'd probably just pocket it, but if you were talking about hundreds I'd have to hand it in
#25
What if no-one was going around?

Tis what i like people to think. You must not have read i would pick up the £20 and gamble it nowadays
#27
In todays world £20 wouldnt go very far. So I would proably have to keep it. Boost the bank balance. :-D
#28
If I saw someone drop it I'd give it back to them but if it was just in the street I'd defo keep it.

Hand it in where anyway? If it was a bag full of £1000's I'd defo hand that in but not just 1 note!

If it was in a wallet with some ID in there i'd hand that back to the owner, I think most people would. Although I know 2 people who have left wallets in phone boxes & gone back when they have realised & both times the credit cards and wallets have still been there but all the cash has gone.

Mind you I guess people who use phone boxes probably need the cash (hummm was that a bit of a generalisation?)
#29
If it was a £20 loose, then yeah, i'd keep it.
If it was in a purse/wallet then i'd have to hand it in (even if there was only a few pounds in it)

How would you prove to the policeman that the £20 was yours?
I could go to the police station now and say i've lost a £20 note somewhere in the street. Would they give it to me?

The only people who use the phone box at the bottom of my street are vandals.

There are two, one is being removed soon, hip hip hooray :-D

A £20 note in a purse of wallet - yes
A £20 note just fluttering along on it's own - no. how would they ever trace who it belonged to.

That would deserve a hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hip hooray :-D
#36
Depends on how many vandals there are?
#37
Keep it. Im sure everyone has found money and im sure everyone has lost money so it all balances out.
#38
I'd stick it in a charity box. Would feel guilty about keeping it.
#39
As said, a loose £20 would go in my pocket, no point handing it into the police, a) because no-one would go to a police station to see of it had been handed in, and b) it'd only be spent on doughnuts anyway ;-)

If it was a wad of money, and there was some ID in it, and they lived local, I'd probably take it round to them. However, if there was no ID, then to be honest, i'd probably keep it.
